Skillfull Collaboration

Hey, I’m Ralph Anderson, a photographer that has focused primarily on portrait photography. I am attracted to form and a creative use of light. My goal is to present everyone that I collaborate with in my work in their most expressive and unique light. I am originally from Brooklyn NY and settled in the San Francisco bay area in 1996. I have relocated to the Denver Colorado area with my amazing family, my fantastic wife and 4 children are my “Magnum Opus”, my greatest work and daily I look to come as close to what they mean to me in my creative work. 

I started this creative journey as a sketch artist and painter. I attended the Arts Students League of New York, Learned ART History at a couple of Community Colleges in NY where I fell in love with lighting techniques found in beloved paintings. My style is painterly, stripped down with allowing the subject to set the tone in expression, emotion and pose. I want to remove the distractions for the viewer to see and be seen in the work.
